Brewis Electric has WorkSafeBC – GoldStar Clearance Status. Brewis Electric has Accredited Membership and is registered with ComplyWorks and Contractor Check.

Policy Statement

Brewis Electric Company Ltd. is committed to the prevention of illness and injury through the provision and maintenance of a Corporate Health & Safety Program. Brewis Electric Company Ltd. endeavours to meet its responsibilities for the health and safety of its employees by adhering to relevant health and safety standards and legislative requirements, and by assigning general and specific responsibilities for workplace health and safety.

Brewis Electric Company Ltd. takes all reasonable steps to acquaint its employees with their rights and duties in the workplace as well as applicable regulations and procedures for protecting their health and safety. Where appropriate, Brewis Electric Company Ltd. makes special arrangements and establishes programs to assist in maintaining safe conditions and work practices. This includes facilitating employee participation in health and safety activities, including health and safety committees.

All individuals shall protect their own health and safety by complying with prevailing regulation and standards and with safe practices and procedures  

established by Brewis Electic Company Ltd.  Employees must report and health hazards and unsafe conditions or practices to supervisory staff for corrective action.

As defined under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, it is a primary duty of all supervisors to ensure that any persons under their direction are made aware of, and comply with, all applicable health and safety policies and procedures. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the workplace are safe, and that any risks, hazards, and safety violations drawn to their attention are investigated and promptly corrected.

Brewis Electric Company Ltd., in consultation with the Joint Occupational Safety and Health Committee, shall ensure that all other policies and operating procedures meet the goals of this Policy and conform to the regulations and procedures set out in the Workers Compensation Act and Regulation and all other applicable Acts and standard practices.
